Schools may have their own policies, which just might include dropping your admission, on multiple seat deposits.

I was accepted into half a dozen PhD programs, and there was no such thing as a seat deposit at any of these grad schools. Maybe that's changed - this was 10 years ago. They generally gave me until May for a yes/no.

Just one data point.
