Incomplete transcript

Hey, so I got admitted to grad school, but as soon as I got there I got this crazy idea that what I really wanted was law school. I've gone one semester under my belt, so if accepted to law school I'll have to drop out of my program. Problem is, I need a transcript for my first semester of grad school and apparently they don't send a partial transcript. What should I do? Do I even bother applying? How much will not wanting to complete grad school hurt my chances?

Transcripts definitely required from grad school.
If your school won't produce one, I don't know what the outcome is. Don't you have completed courses? How is it possible that the registrar doesn't send this? I've never heard of that, and I'm experienced with graduate admissions. If that's really true, and you're not just trying to avoid some fee, you can probably get an unofficial transcript and submit as an addendum.
Hopefully someone more experienced with JD admissions will chime in here.

This, generally. I have to imagine the way the admissions cycles are looking from a numbers standpoint that if your LSAT/UGPA are up to snuff a good addendum could pave the way for a decent cycle. You should really be able to home in on why law school and why the switch. It is the believability of this story that'll help paper over your grad school stint.
This obviously comes with the caveat that your withdrawal from grad school be by the book.
