TTTT Scholarships

Post by Young Marino » Sat Jan 18, 2014 3:32 pm

I've been browsing the Acceptance forum and I've noticed a lot of you are unhappy with your scholarship offers and I'm there with y'all for a few schools. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why schools (especially TTTTs) aren't giving out bigger offers this cycle compared to years past especially when apps are down again? I would think a few TTTTs would be scrambling to get students in right now with apps being where they're at

TTTTs usually have very small endowment funds to work with. Their scholarships are directly tied to student tuition money; when the applicant pool and matriculants drop, so do scholarships.

Do scholarships usually come out this early? Most people haven't filled in FAFSA yet. they could just be hedging their bets for now.

They haven't got enough students to fill their budget as is. When you're bleeding red, giving out $100k scholarships looks like a bad deal to (moronic) administrators and whatnot
