LOCI with new letter of rec - sending directly?

I'm planning on sending a LOCI with a new recommendation from my most recent employer (I graduated in 2012) to two schools where I've been WL'd. I also want to send it to schools that are currently reviewing my app as an added piece of my application.

He will be submitting the LOR through LSAC per usual, but for the schools currently in review, is it kosher for me to email them the LOR directly so it gets to them in time?

Does anyone know the turnover time for LSAC to channel a LOR through to schools?
