cancel-171-cancel?

Post by avth » Sun Dec 08, 2013 4:09 am

EDIT: sorry, by "withdraw" I meant "cancel". Operating on ~3-4 hours of sleep.

For the Dec. LSAT, a bunch of crap happened and I ended up cancelling. A little depressed about it since I'd been consistently PT-ing high 170s-180 the weeks before, but what's done is done.

I'd still like to apply this cycle, but I'm wondering how much two cancellations will hurt my admissions chances. The first time I took the LSAT was way back in Dec. '10, and I withdrew from that because... I wasn't all that prepared. Then I took it this October and received a score of 171. Of course I plan to write an addendum for my Dec LSAT, but will admissions still be likely to see my 171 as a fluke? Should I write an addendum for my 2010 cancellation as well, considering I don't have a particularly good excuse for that one? Sorry for what might be over-paranoia, and I'd really appreciate any comments from people who might have some experience/insight on this. Thanks.

(please don't quote, thank you)

I'm pretty sure schools don't even see withdrawls on your LSAC record. They're not left on the board -- in exchange for your $165.

Haha, sorry, I meant cancel.  Cancellations are left on the record, I'm quite sure.
