Does scholarship info always come with the admission offer?

Post by kobe1020 » Sun Nov 03, 2013 3:17 pm

I wonder if the school always decide to offer admission and amount of $$$ at the same time, or they will admit student first then look at the big picture to see how much they want to give to each one? Any one can share some insight?

Thanks!!

I've heard that admissions offers usually come first and then details of awards come later in the Spring.

Depends on the school. Columbia includes the scholarship offer with the admission offer. Berkeley waits until April, I believe, to make scholarship offers. Go poke around LSN to get a feel for how long other schools' scholarship offers come after admission.
