Work LORs in Tough Job Situation

Post by yomisterd » Wed Oct 30, 2013 5:14 pm

I am currently teaching and applying to law schools. I wanted to ask for some advice regarding LORs. I have run into rough patches with my principal and my assistant principal recently over workplace issues that I have tried to confront them about. Also, I was told by other teachers that is could not tell administration I am planning on leaving, as they will proverbially shit on me.

If I want/need to obtain a work recommendation, but am uncomfortable blindly asking one of my admins to write a recommendation, could I ask for an open LOR? Should I skip a supervisor recommendation?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
