Attending Multiple Institutions

Postby heatnationla » Wed Oct 09, 2013 9:30 pm

Hello all, sorry I'm late to the party. I just started on my applications and am already stuck on step one of the CAS process. So, I am on the part where you add all the institutions you have attended in the past and I have attended one major university, UCI, however I have also taken a number of community college courses at two different institutions before going to college and these are all a part of my undergraduate transcript. However, when I go to add the institutions, there are only three available options for level attended: graduate, bachelor's, and law. Also, my friend informed me that AP classes from high school also need to be accounted for? My question is how exactly do I go about adding these institutions, do I just mark the option as bachelor's even though I took these classes before even attending a university? Or do I only add my university institution since all my grades are accounted for in my undergraduate transcript? Any help would be much appreciated because I know law schools are very stringent when it comes to disclosure. Thanks.

AP credits show up as part of whichever undergrad transcript they appeared on to begin with. Presumably you transferred the credits to your undergrad, right?

CC courses taken before you got your bachelor's all count as more bachelor's credits. Enter the CCs as additional bachelor's institutions.

Thank you for the prompt response. Yes, I did transfer my credits to undergrad. I also transferred my CC courses to my undergrad as well and they all appear on my transcript as follows:

University Requirements
09/01/07 Entry Level Writing - Satisfied
09/01/07 American History - Satisfied
09/01/07 American Institutions - Satisfied

Bachelor's Degrees
BA BUSINESS ECONOMICS JUNE 10, 2011

AP U.S. HISTORY (Score 4, Units 8.0) 05/06

AP CALCULUS AB (Score 3, Units 4.0) 05/06

AP PHYSICS B (Score 3, Units 8.0) 05/07

L A PIERCE COL (Units 9.0) 1 Terms to 08/06

SANTA MONICA C (Units 13.5) 2 Terms to 06/07

Units Transferred 42.5

LA Pierce Col and Santa Monica C are the CC's. Do I still need to report these institutions although they are part of my undergrad transcript?

Yes. The AP credits don't have their own institution, that's why they don't need to be sent in separately. The others are actual schools you attended/got credit at.

You do need to report the two community colleges and get transcripts from both sent into LSAC.

I should add that I promised myself I wouldn't allow fellow anteaters to go to law school without maximizing their LSAT score. Don't let me let myself down. Either of you.

tl;dr

You must send a transcript to LSAC from every university attended
