Hey TLSers,
I was wondering whether this belonged here or the "what are my chances?" board, but I decided it was more relevant here.
I took the June LSAT and scored a 166. I was a little disappointed with it, so I sat for the October test... and ended up canceling it after having a minor freak out on one section. My average PT score over 20 tests (after June) was 172, with a range of 170-177. I only went under 170 three times out of the 20 tests I took. I really think I can do better in December, which is why I registered, but I also strongly want to get the application process over with for personal reasons. (Work has been very busy... 12+ hour days, and I'm getting married soon, which is why I'd like assurance of going somewhere before then.) If I got into UCLA, I'd be very happy to attend, regardless of what I get in December. Is a 166 with a 3.7 good enough for UCLA with ED? I have decent softs-- I'm several years out of college and have extensive work with non-profits.
Also, practically speaking, would schools even consider apps, regardless of ED, if they see that I'm registered for a test in December? I'm also thinking about sending an app to Berkeley, so I'm just wondering what the process is.
Thanks!

You'd be absolutely insane to go to law school with a 166 as your best score.

This. And no one should be going to UCLA at full price.Tiago Splitter wrote:You'd be absolutely insane to go to law school with a 166 as your best score.

Hmm... Okay, thanks guys. The problem is that I have very little time to study between now and then, so I don't know how that's going to affect me in December. With wedding planning and my high-commitment job, I'm pretty booked and spent. I'm from LA, so I don't mind going to UCLA... I'd prefer Berkeley, but I'd be perfectly satisfied with UCLA. So, if I sent out the apps this month, would they still consider it, given my pending December registration? Waiting until the next cycle is, unfortunately, not an option. Appreciate it.

They will most likely put your application on hold if you are registered for a future test date.
