Hi! I have a doubt about the lsat gpa conversion table. My schoo doesn't count A+'s, and A is just valued for 4 points, a B 3 points and so forth. So, would my gpa be the original college gpa for lsac as well? Also, my institution runs on trimesters (3months). Thanks in advance! (GPA: 3.

If your school awarded you an A, LSAC will convert that to a 4.0. If your school awarded you an A+, regardless of what your school counted it as, the LSAC will count it as 4.33.

EDIT> the trimester thing might screw everything up, though. Only way you'll know for sure is by 1) calling LSAC or 2) paying for CAS

Trimesters don't change much. The only difference is that if you have both semester credits and trimester credits, there's a weighting they use to create the combined GPA (a trimester hour counts for less than a semester hour).

My schools on my transcripts ALL did trimesters, so it didn't make any difference really.
If your school AWARDS A+ but doesn't count them above 4.0, your LSAC gpa will likely be higher than your institution GPA. If, like mine, your school simply did not award anything above an A, then it will likely be close to the same. People who go to schools that don't award A+ get a little screwed in the LSAC conversion (assuming your A's were high enough they would have been A+ if possible) but that's just how it is.

--> I tried putting my grades into the lsac gpa calculator..but it didn't turn out the way my gpa should or would be by next trimester..is the calculator an accurate source?
