Where should I ED? 171/3.46

Post by adamwest142 » Sun Sep 15, 2013 12:59 pm

As the subject says, 171 LSAT with a 3.46 uGPA. So far I've received a fee waiver email from UPenn, not that I put too much stock in that, but would it be wise to use my ED there?

I know splitters are difficult to predict. But any thoughts would be helpful

You have a decent chance at Penn without ED, especially if you craft a good "Why Penn?" statement. If you're desperate to use ED, I would recommend first EDing to NYU and EDing to Penn if necessary in their second round. NYU doesn't give a large boost for early decision candidates, but it could help because your numbers are borderline. Also, please do remember that ED candidates get minimal merit aid, so it might be in your best interest to apply widely.

I dont recommend ED. You'll end up paying/loaning near sticker. Your numbers can most likely get Penn and UVA in the regular cycle.
