Wow. What a TTT shithole. People will be transferring out IN DROVES.

That's everyone lining up to transfer out of Columbia Law School

The 25th dropping to 169 seems significant to me.

If CLS dropped a point, there's probably good chance NYU's median is 170.

You still have to remember that CLS's LSAT will probably be the third highest anyway. It looks as if only the T6 (plus maybe P) will have median LSATs of 170 or more.

Also means employers will avoid CLS IN DROVES.

Wait... wasn't CLS 172 last year? And the year before that? And the year before that?

Ugh, does this mean splitters are screwed? Less emphasis on LSAT scores? Eff.

No, it means more emphasis on the LSAT because those top scores are rarer and more valuable.

And yeah, I've accepted my joblessness  please let the UChi medians drop!

It was, but apparently it was worse than CLS's TTT medians.

Depends on the school. CLS's median GPA dropped, and so did their GPA floor. Hence splitters, at least for CLS, benefited.

Splitters will continue to be benefited, even more so, this coming cycle at most schools.

Crap, there were only 352 matriculants to CLS. And 20+ of them have apparently transferred to Harvard/Stanford already. This class is comparatively tiny.

Nah thats after the transfers. Original class was about 365. There were ~13 kids who accepted offers off the waitlist at H or S.

171 was a GULC median three years ago. Really hoping for a UChi drop to keep things in line, though I doubt it. Not going to pretend I'm not pissed about this, though. I wonder how long CLS and NYU can resist the temptation not to game their medians.

+1. I can confirm my disgust at the 171 knaves. Sometimes I shout it out in CivPro. "That sounds like a 171 answer. If you're looking for a school that tolerates that shit, The NYUNICEF Charitable Foundation For Underprivileged Law Students is always open."

...that sound you hear is my shitty GPA dragging down our 25th.

Class was 362 at orientation. Nine transfers, I assume all to H and S, though I can't be sure. If it would have made a difference, they would've put these numbers up ASAP. The median was likely gone by April.
