Does anybody know anything about Northwestern? Are we assuming at this point that they didn't hold the 170?

According to a handout I got from their admissions office, Northwestern is 169/3.75 with 177 students for the regular JD class. I'm not sure why someone keeps deleting this off the spreadsheet.jingosaur wrote:Does anybody know anything about Northwestern? Are we assuming at this point that they didn't hold the 170?

Do the LST numbers include Accelerated JD and JD/MBA students? Because if they don't, that's a CRAZY drop in students.snapdragon25 wrote:According to a handout I got from their admissions office, Northwestern is 169/3.75 with 177 students for the regular JD class. I think the only info we have about the new #s is this handout, which only has medians for the regular JD. It said there are 55 people total in the accelerated JD and JD-MBA programs, but no medians for those people.kobe1020 wrote:do you know the LSAT distribution of their accelerated JD program? thanks !snapdragon25 wrote:According to a handout I got from their admissions office, Northwestern is 169/3.75 with 177 students for the regular JD class. Maybe this has already been answered, but why did Washington and Lee go down so much? Refusal to give tuition discounts? Refusal to lower standards? Some other schools with similar employment information didn't drop as much.

Finally becoming as TTT as their employment stats IMO.dominiquewilkins wrote:Maybe this has already been answered, but why did Washington and Lee go down so much? Refusal to give tuition discounts? Seriously. Their class size is minuscule and they still can't get respectable stats.BigZuck wrote:Finally becoming as TTT as their employment stats IMO.dominiquewilkins wrote:Maybe this has already been answered, but why did Washington and Lee go down so much? What does that have anything to do with it? A lot of schools with decent stats or larger classes are far from their employment centers (Cornell, UVA, and Michigan in the T14, UGA, Florida, etc) and can manage to get more than 100 students hired. Only 87 of their 2012 grads were employed!stillwater wrote: truth of the matter is that in the 21st century people dont want to live in the sticks.

Okay, go to Lexington, VA, then go to where those schools are. They are virtual metropolises comparatively.ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) wrote:What does that have anything to do with it? No, I just meant that a lot of people are content living in tiny cities if it means they have a shot at getting a job in a bigger city. Their location in Lexington matters a lot less than their inability to place grads in jobs.stillwater wrote:Okay, go to Lexington, VA, then go to where those schools are. Everyone knows UT is the one true 15th ranked school regardless of year to year fluctuations. At least I didn't claim it was a T14
