Okay, so I guess it's 352 after transfers. Makes sense, although I thought there were more than 12 transfers (I do know one Legal Methods section itself had 6, but might have been an anomaly).t-14orbust wrote:Isn't that a good thing?bowser wrote:Crap, there were only 352 matriculants to CLS. And 20+ of them have apparently transferred to Harvard/Stanford already. This class is comparatively tiny.
sure it's a good thing. Just surprised. There were around 400 people starting for c/o 2013/14.
Also, I'm not sure having a smaller class size dramatically influences EIP. My class was significantly smaller than the one ahead of us, and I'm guessing we fared about the same. Although if there are less than 400 by the time EIP rolls around, maybe it will affect it.

Unless they overcompensate with twelve thousand more transfers.

I think we only had like 45 this year so they may actually be trying to tighten things up a little.Monochromatic Oeuvre wrote:Unless they overcompensate with twelve thousand more transfers.

This can't be real.Regulus wrote:I saw this linked elsewhere, but I am not sure if it is real... if it is, this cycle will definitely have been epic.
I refuse to believe this.

All the numbers add up, including the employment numbers. Either this is a really, really good fake, or it is legit. Also says 'data as of 9/18/13'. If this is true, class size is down and GPA is slightly down.Regulus wrote:I saw this linked elsewhere, but I am not sure if it is real... if it is, this cycle will definitely have been epic.

Why would anyone create a fake UChicago cycle spreadsheet. That doesnt make sense.KevinP wrote:All the numbers add up, including the employment numbers. Re: C/O 2016 median lsat/gpa/class size
According to mylsn, depending on where you're at on those GPA quartiles, going from a 167-168 to a 169-170 gives a boost of 0% -> 4%, 0% -> 37%, 36% -> 75%, or 63% -> 100%. Those numbers make it seem like a 169 median is plausible. Still hard to believe though..KevinP wrote:All the numbers add up, including the employment numbers. One of these days Chicago is gonna get that 4.0 median.

Will the TLS consensus involve paying tuition anywhere? Because I feel like TLS has already made the jump to LOLTuition.jingosaur wrote:The new TLS consensus rankings are just going to be:

Tell your parents to quit their jobs 2-3 years before you start applying so you can get financial aid from YHS. If you have an employed spouse, start filling out the divorce papers now.MarkinKansasCity wrote:Will the TLS consensus involve paying tuition anywhere? Re: C/O 2016 median lsat/gpa/class size
I looked up Chicago Law's numbers from last year and the PDF is in the exact same format as the one posted by Regulus. That would be absolutely crazy if they dropped their median to a 169. The high GPA numbers and awesome job placement will keep them tied with Columbia though. Maybe they're just going the Stanford/Berkeley route.
