No Chicago for me. Which sucks, because I would submit it today if the fee was waived..

Grrr. Chicago sends out fee waivers on the same day it shoots down my attempt to solicit one with 173/4.0? Am not happy. Columbia also rejected my attempt.

Got Chicago after bombing a practice test this morning, really helped boost my mood.

Super bummed about no love from Chicago. I guess my GPA wasn't high enough?
Has anyone had success with soliciting them?

My GPA is like below the floor for UChi and my LSAT too. They just talked about my Ugrad in the email. Something like "sorry we wont be at your ugrad this year, we like your school, here is a fee waiver."

Damn it! My stupid undergrad is having a fair (see my post about the "Great Columbia Fake-out" of last week when I freaked out bc I received an email from CLS but it was just an invite to stop by their booth) but maybe W&M isn't considered a top undergrad by the Ivies (and Chicago)? Meh. It's disappointing but I guess we can't all get fee waivers. Congrats on yours though -- I appreciate the feedback!

OMG I hate those "stop by my table" emails.

No problem! I mean a guy above got one and he went to Emory so I'm not sure there was a real pattern. I must disclose I am also a URM so idk how that factors in. Also, I would have totally solicited a waiver if I didnt get one, so you should definitely try that!!

Just got denied a fee waiver from UChicago. I wish they'd just say, "Nope, not giving you one," instead of just linking me to the fee waiver info page that essentially says "Nope, not giving you one."

So have we figured out for sure they're only giving them to T25 grads? Boo. :(

Does the page basically just say "we don't give individually solicited fee waivers?"

Below UChi GPA floor and LSAT median, received an unsolicited waiver. Also referenced my undergrad (UCLA), but read like a form letter still.

Yeah, so it seems to be based on undergrad. What a weird approach. Seems like a solid way to alienate a bunch of students.

WUSTL sent me an unsolicited waiver last year but I wasn't applying to any schools that cycle. Followed up recently and was granted the waiver for 2013-2014. Simple.

173/4.0/Ivy grad/first time applicant here. Didn't get one from Chicago. I'm starting to think it's random...

I think chi is releasing waivers in waves randomly, instead of all at once. UG prolly has nothing to do with it.

Did everyone who got Chicago get the college fair thing mentioned? If so, that makes me think that they will send more out later for some reason.

For what it's worth, I didn't get Chicago and my numbers are a bit higher than their 75ths.

More success:

WF solicited, no questions asked.
Wisconsin solicited, brief questionnaire
