I think chicago might have sent out a really small wave of fee waivers last night. i really doubt that was the whole load.

also, just got UT. Might apply there in hopes of finding another Felicia Day (UT Alumna).

Got an invite to a LS and told them I couldn't attend but asked for a fee waiver. They gave me a code - SWeet deal.

How are you guys getting so many waivers? My LSAC isn't complete. Could that be it?

Make sure you're registered on CRS. I got passed up by UCLA before my transcript came in, and they just sent me a waiver a few days ago, so maybe that's it.

Also, not sure what you mean by LSAC being complete. FWIW I do not have my LORs in yet, but I do have LSAT and GPA set.

I didn't turn on CRS until Sept 16th. Is this the reason I have not yet gotten a single email about fee waivers?

Yep. I started getting mine as soon as I uploaded my transcript with more coming in once my LSAT score was published

Just got an email from UC Davis...not sure if fee waiver, or just letting me know there is no application fee?

Registered on CRS? Can you fill me in on this quick? I was getting waivers last year, before even taking any test, but found them annoying (thanks but no thanks for the twelfth time, Akron Law), so may have changed a setting somewhere. Oops. WHere should I be looking....

Sorry to have you do this searching, its been a long Friday and an even longer week at work.

EDIT: Found out where to change my settings. :-)

Looks like I'm signed up to get stuff but nothing has come yet. Oh darn. More cold emailing.

Have you submitted transcripts yet? I didn't start getting mine until I submitted grades

Nope. My GPA isn't very enticing anyway though.

You should post which schools you successfully solicited. That is, unless others have posted the same already

Long thread, maybe some have posted.

Success:

My t2 (law) UG - needed to decline their open house invite, I said thanks but no thanks, maybe throw me a waiver though. And they did.
Indiana, after giving brief, honest account of situation when prompted.
SMU, no questions asked (sent them a straightforward and polite email)

WI and UMN ask for brief forms to be completed and scanned/returned.

Waiting to hear from others.

Vandy as well today, plus a free app e-mail from UC-Davis.

That makes three unsolicited fee waivers from T-20 shcools: Duke, Vandy, and UCLA. I feel as if my 163 has way over-performed in the fee waiver arena.

Also got the UCD waiver today. I'm hoping that once I take my retake in October the floodgate of T14 fee waivers will open for me.
