I just changed my CRS date from 2012 to 2014. Should I expect to get fee waivers from the schools which have already sent them out?

I have average numbers for Penn but no waiver. Maybe they know that means a probable application and that's why they're not giving me a waiver.

Allegedly I got Stanford via snail mail, reported by my S/O. I thought they didnt do fee waivers? Until I see it, I'm assuming its Samford...

Got this too. Anyone know how easy/difficult it is to qualify for it? I'm pretty poor but LSAC disagreed with me...

Doesn't hurt to try. The schools tend to be more lenient than LSAC, which is why they have their own applications in addition to giving waivers to anyone with an LSAC waiver, I think.

Greetings.

I am an idiot and had it checked for schools NOT to contact me.... I just changed it to allow them to contact me 2 days ago... I was not privy to the whole fee waiver thing. LE SIGH. Any advice on what I should do? I'm guessing the ones that were sent out in the past I missed and that's it. Who should I email at the schools to ask for a fee waiver? What do I write in the email? just ask for a academic fee waiver and list my gpa/lsat? Shit i'm such a newb...

You'll be fine. Check out this article and then start to solicit schools following the article's instructions. Applications are looking down again this year, which means that schools may be more likely to issue a lot of waivers and to do so more generously in relation to applicants' stats.

I was very surprised at the amount of waivers I received this cycle...UChi, UPenn, UMich, 14 of top 28 schools, probably 40+ waivers total

I think I got 40+ waivers from Florida Coastal alone.

Just got a fee waiver from Cornell. I took the October exam. I hadn't applied to them because I knew I probably wouldn't go there, and they wouldn't send me a fee waiver back in October when I requested one. But now I may just send the app in for the bargaining power.

Hidden or email? Slightly regretting my decision on sending my app in now without a waiver...

Fairly lengthy email. Talked about how my numbers were competitive and that I should give them a shot. Offered the fee waiver at the very end.

Penn - your Eagles already beat the Cowboys for the NFC East. I'll take a waiver for that bullshit!

So I know after October it took a few weeks for all the fee waivers to roll in. Anyone know if the turnaround in December is quicker?

I'm trying to balance applying ASAP with waiting to get new waivers with my new score. Anyone have thoughts?

Solicit. Schools will get back to you very quickly if you solicit. Otherwise, you may be waiting to no avail.
