Same. Yet my SO, with an above-median LSAT, didn't get one from them. It really seems like it's practically random within a given score/GPA range.

Got Columbia earlier this afternoon as well. Below the 25th percentile for LSAT but above the median LSAT.

Worth a shot, I suppose.

it could be because of his gpa? i have a slightly below median lsat but my gpa is above median

I don't know what to think about all this. I am below both medians and I got a waiver. But I am also a URM

His GPA is >75th, so I don't think that's it, either. Plus, their email specifically states:
"On the basis of your performance on the LSAT only, you have been identified as a prospective law school applicant who, on that criterion alone, has demonstrated a capability to contribute to and benefit from a legal education of the first order."
I mean, they really go out of their way to say the waiver is based only on the LSAT. Strange.

eta: at least the email I received said that.

Yea I don't get that because my LSAT certainly doesn't match your friend's. Oh well. Maybe they just want the pleasure of telling me to eff off for free.

Got the same email. It states that the recipient's LSAT demonstates the capability to contribute to and benefit from a legal education "of the first order".
Does this necessarily mean Columbia? This term could mean that the recipient could benefit from a legal education in general, not to any specific school.
Just my two cents.

You think the people who send out the emails are lawyers?

3.6/161 URM here. I have gotten waivers from most of t14  I feel like the person who gets nominated for homecoming King only to be publicly told to fuck off.

I'm in pretty much the same boat. If past stats show I have a pretty fair shot of getting into these schools AND they're going to let me apply for free, I'm far from upset.

3.9/168/173 URM here.

Got Georgetown, UCLA, and Columbia with my 168, and UVA sent one after my 173. I've got a ton from lower ranked schools as well. Any of you guys got anything from Chicago/Penn?

This is confusing because as noted the Columbia email sounds as if they are sending them out to people above a certain LSAT score. Just curious is your GPA below their 25th? I've been trying to to see if GPA is playing into fee waivers

No love from Columbia...the last of my apps without a waiver, all in the CCN-T25 range.

App is ready, should I stop holding out for Columbia?

Stats: below c/o 2016 LSAT median, above GPA 75th
