Yeah, that was pretty funny that they responded with a 1-liner when given the opportunity to expand upon their strengths.

at least they know they can't compete and don't try to pull you in with some BS.

Exactly, hence my feelings they basically give up. Anywhere I should go from here or just let it die?

^ I think that TTT prank is done, unless you want to write them back that after you received so many emails from them, you really thought they were more interested in you that they'd write you back more than a few sentences, pretend to be insulted, etc.

Probably not worth the effort though, as much as I hate McGeorge  .

This thread could have been a beautiful thing, but the ever so slight chance something comes back to bite me in the ass is enough for me to stop the shenanigans.
I don't discourage anyone from continuing forth though.

You also opted into these emails.

Nevertheless, I think the kind of emails some schools send out to applicants would horrify people. I think it's important that there be accountability. I just don't want you all to be hurt by it either.

It's not just fucking with them, which is probably one for ones own lulz, but posting it for them to find and see and prove you we're being dose genius is different. Of course they deserve it, but I'm skeptical it would be perceived as us simply bringing them justice.

If I were you guys, I'd edit out all of the identifying info. I would be more scared of some douchebag TLSer (no offense to you guys) than of an adcomm actually reading this stuff on here.

Any examples of misleading data? I skimmed last night, and didn't see anything that'd be a problem under Standard 509, but it was late and I could be wrong.

slightly OT, but check this out: http://deadspin.com/infographic-is-your ... socialflow

apparently Maine's highest paid state employee is the law school dean. They only have one law school, and it has a 37% employment score and 45% underemployment. Wish I could get paid big bucks for that kind of "success".

Bummer, I didn't see their response in your post before it got edited. But aside from being my guilty pleasure, I think this thread has served its purpose (i.e., dishing out some much-needed lulz after a stressful admissions cycle).

Got an ad from Rutgers:

Rutgers University strives to strengthen legal education by unifying the Rutgers Schools of Law in Camden and Newark into a single, cohesive institution, with separate campuses.

"We believe strongly that, under this Rutgers Law model, there are increased opportunities for students at each location for learning from and with a wider selection of world-class Rutgers faculty and advancing their career searches. Rutgers Law will be greater than the sum of its parts and will significantly raise the national prominence of a Rutgers legal education."
- Dean Ray Solomon, School of Law-Camden

For more information on what Rutgers Law students value, visit:
camlaw.rutgers.edu/whyrutgerslaw
What Current Rutgers Law Students Value Now

Angella Middleton
"First and foremost is the academic reputation of the faculty and the program itself," says second-year Rutgers Law student Angella Middleton, president of the BLSA."The convenience, the price, the reputation are all important, but I wouldn't sacrifice the academic rigor for any of that."

Matan Shmuel
"I chose Rutgers because I spoke to a lot of alumni and they all seemed to indicate that Rutgers has a really strong presence in New Jersey and Philadelphia as well as nationally," says Matan Shmuel, editor-in-chief of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion. "We also have a great legal writing program."

TOPS IN THE NATION IN STATE AND LOCAL CLERKSHIPS

Takeaways:
1. Not only do people want to work in the festering shithole of NJ, but there are actually jobs there.
2. I am supposed to care about non-supreme (a reasonable bet Rutgers doesn't place many state supreme clerks) state clerkships and local clerkships, because those are desirable jobs.
3. Rutger admissions personnel need grammar courses.

TBF, people from NJ on TLS have mentioned that state clerkships are the default entry-level position there. Local firm hiring only starts after you finish your state clerkship.

I hate small public schools that advertise out of state though. I imagine it would be harder to get a state clerkship as a carpetbagger and even then, small firms are going to look at you funny. Small public law schools should focus on people who could actually get a job coming out of the school, viz. state residents.
