you don't eat anything, because no one from barry actually has enough money to eat
To be fair, they're taking out the same loans that you have access to, so they should be able to eat while in law school.

Someone should make an alt named Creighton and tag every Reg thread - just pop in and say what's up. THERE'S STILL TIME TO MAKE THIS WORK.

I was sitting here, reading and laughing at this thread until I remembered I was going to a TTT in the fall

/sigh

At least it isn't as shameless as some of the other schools that have been featured here

If you're looking for someone to talk you out of it, you're in the right place. Do you have a full ride at least? Guaranteed job lined up?

If you're knowledgeable enough to call your future alma mater a TTT, you probably shouldn't be going there. But yes, at least it's not Cooley or Barry (presumably).

I will only be paying CoA, so it's not so bad. But yes, I have done my research and read TLS, so I am aware of the atrocious job placement statistics and general malaise in the legal market. Your warnings are not wasted on me, don't worry. My undergrad gpa is too poor to warrant a retake.

Maybe to fit the 0L stereotypes I should instead state that after graduation I intend to practice international law at the Hague and bring to justice old Argentinian war criminals?

I'm partial to being the lawyer who single-handedly rids Africa of child soldiers through my selfless acts as an international lawyer. I heard Cooley has a specialty in that...

Unless there was another thread, that was actually talking about the for-profit law schools. Even so, Barry and Cooley are almost just as bad because of the stuff they do.
SMH @ Barry... this joke is probably played out on TLS, but if Billy Mays were still around, Barry Law would be ALL OVER HIM and he'd be making infomercials for 'em. Billy and Barry would have made a great team.

ETA: Just noticed that American U is in Cooley's T20. Cooley may be the joke of the legal world but you've gotta give it to 'em -- they've got balls.

4. MYTH: Law schools are charging exorbitant tuition.
False, law school tuition is comparable to tuition charges for other professional schools and for doctoral programs. For example, at Cooley, a typical May 2012 non-scholarship graduate would have paid about $97,000 in tuition for his or her legal education. The typical scholarship student at Cooley would have paid about $75,000. Approximately 57% of Cooley students receive scholarships.

According to the Cooley website, you don't even need a bachelor's degree to get in...
Most Cooley students have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Yet, under court rules adopted by the Michigan Supreme Court, an applicant may also attend if the student has completed at least 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours either toward an undergraduate degree from an accredited school or from an accredited junior or community college.
At Cooley, to be admitted without a bachelor’s degree, but with 60 semester hours, Cooley will need a statement from a four-year institution confirming that you have completed 60 semester hours applicable toward the bachelor’s degree or proof of completion of an associate’s degree with 60 hours applicable towards a bachelor's degree. The Committee will determine whether you have the maturity level sufficient for the study of law and for beginning law practice.

For a second there I thought that you were stating your opinion until I realized that you were quoting this. The entire thing is hilariously awesome, so I made a new thread for it.
Thank god you pointed that, was about to head desk so hard. You're pretty smart for someone only going to the 41st ranked law school.
