I'm just wondering, from your experiences, what is the lowest GPA you've heard of getting into Harvard, Yale, Stanford, or Columbia?

Just look at LSN. Appears to be roughly 3.5 for Harvard, 3.7+ for Yale/Stanford, and 3.3 for Columbia, this cycle.

For Yale, it's 3.49 for the class of 2015 as per: http://www.law.yale.edu/admissions/profile.htm

For Stanford, it was 3.3 for the class of 2014 as per: --LinkRemoved-- (2nd to last page)

Can't find school given statistics for Harvard or Columbia, but LSN is more accurate for showing you the possibility of you as an individual getting into said schools.

Keep in mind that the lowest GPA values are pretty much always for URM students. If you aren't racially one of the URM categories, the data is pretty useless to determining a "lowest possible" GPA to get into these schools.

Thanks to both of you. Ya, I am noticing the URM point on the LSN website... though it seems there are a few low GPAs for non-URMS, but only with extremely high LSATs.

Two of my friends got in to Harvard with 3.3 /177 ('06) and 3.4/178 ('97), but both were exceptional cases, and neither ended up attending. For all intents and purposes, there's a pretty rigid GPA floor.

If I can add a data point (not on LSN): Accepted to Harvard this cycle, 3.6 GPA, 174 LSAT. Middle-class white female.

3.1 177 non URM got Yale this cycle. But that could very well never happen again.
