Letter of Continued Interest gaffe

Postby shredda4 » Wed Mar 27, 2013 7:36 pm

Hey guys, so I was waitlisted at the Fordham part - time program and I wrote a letter of continued interest in response to my waitlist notification. However, in my letter I wrote that I was interested in the master of laws program for corporate, banking, and finance law, which is obviously for law school grads but I didn't realize this at the time (I know, really dumb). Do you guys think this will hurt my chances of getting off the waitlist? I have visited the school, spoken to an admissions counselor, taken a tour, and a relative who graduated from the law school and now owns his own practice wrote me a letter of recommendation. Do you guys think that misstep in my letter of interest will hurt me?

Probably not. I also appreciate anyone who uses the word "gaffe".

Hopefully. Why so eager to pay sticker at Fordham?

send the correct letter and ask them to consider this one and disregard the one you sent earlier

Couldn't agree more here. Fordham isn't going to give you much in terms of a tuition discount. If you didn't get in from regular decision, you should just cross the school off your list.
