How long after you submit an email with your negotiations should I expect a response?

I would assume it depends on the school. When I sent an email asking for additional scholarship funds, I was sent a response within an hour saying they would re-evaluate my application and got a second email less than 48 hours later with an additional scholarship amount. Good luck!

Thanks, I already have received that they forwarded the information to the scholarship committee.

Yes. Just like asking girls out. They are less apt to turn you down if they are on the spot.

Agreed, on the spot works. And I know this seems like a given, but make sure you follow up in writing thanking them. :)

I emailed an admissions Dean at a T1 school and was told my application would be sent for review. After a week of no response, I emailed again, and was granted a massive increase the next day. You have to be persistent.
