No Accept/Deny Yet but Seat Deposits Due + ASD ALready Held?

Postby bdm261 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 9:10 am

I have two pending apps at 2 schools where I'm currently still in review. I submitted my apps 6 months ago. My numbers are borderline but according to LSN applicants with worse have been accepted in the past.

What does it mean if a school has already held Admitted Students Day and I still haven't been admitted? Is this a good sign I won't be accepted?

Also, seat deposits are due 4/1, should I expect a decision by that date at least?

it means (assuming you submitted reasonably early) that your app is held, which means you're not clearly admit or clearly deny material and they're not prepared to waitlist you yet.

Send in a LOCI and try to boost your app. Find a (plausible) excuse to call admissions, etc.
