What is the scale when counting GPA? Forum

I'm new here and I'm confused when I see the following:

Quick Statistics – Class of 2015 Median LSAT: 173 LSAT range (25%-75%): 170-176 Median GPA: 3.90 GPA range (25%-75%): 3.84-3.98 JD Applications Received: 2,943 JD Offers Made: 237 Entering JD Students: 203 Total JD Enrollment: 629

Class of 2014 Full LSAT range: 157-180 Full GPA range: 3.63-4.15 Women: 47% Minority enrollment: 38% Average age: 24 Percentage of students who come to law school (in the class of 2014) directly from college: 20% 1-2 years after college: 45% 3 or more years after college: 35%

What is the scale when counting GPA? 4 OR 4.3? If the maximum GPA is 4, how can 4.15 be possible?

A+'s count as 4.33 for law school admissions.

Thank you very much! I'm an international student, and I just got A- (no grades) in my LSAC transcript report, so I'm confused about this.

A-: 3.67
B+: 3.33
B: 3.00

Some courses at my school offer classes that award A+ while others don't (even if you were at 100 %). Amazing how class selection can come back to help/hurt you depending on if you signed up for courses that award A+ or not.

If you are at a University outside of the US you don't receive a LSAC GPA (AFAIK)
