GPA after transferring undergrad schools?

Post by agray20938 » Tue Feb 26, 2013 10:21 pm

Hi all, good to be a new member here. I had a couple questions. I go to UT Austin, after transferring from a smaller school as a sophomore. I'm looking at going to UT law as well. I was wondering how much they would take into account my UT GPA vs. my cumulative GPA that I send to the LSAC. I have around a 3.8 GPA at UT, but my combined will be only slightly upwards of a 3.5. How much will this affect admissions? Do you think that UT would see me GPA from their school and "give me a break"? thanks for the info.

Cumulative is all that matters.

Thanks for the quick reply. do you think that even at the same school, you wouldn't think they'd at least take that into account?

Nope. They have to report your cumulative GPA for rankings.
