Does anyone want to venture off to rescue North from Smaug/Bob Morse/whatever and bring him back to this board? We are on the clock.

FTFM. It'll be up on the 20th (earlier than last year) as promised. Last year's didn't go up until the 21st and interest still lagged before the release.MikeSpivey wrote:Does anyone want to venture off to rescue North fromSmaug/Bob Morse/whateveran LRW Brief that's due tomorrow and bring him back to this board? Re: 2014 USNWR T25 Prediction Contest (Winners Announced)
I see some small cheating going on. Although most of the country recognizes the a University of Washington in Seattle as being "UW", the name UW could be construed as referring to the University of Wisconsin, as that is "the other UW".
Hence anyone whose list includes "UW" without clarification should rewrite the name. Although size-Seattle has done better in the rankings than U-Wisconsin of late - thus making but likely that everyone is on the same page (UW-Seattle making the top-25) - U-Wisconsin has been ranked that high in the past. Thus, one could be trolling for U-Wisconsin and predicting a huge jump for them. If left as is, the U-Wisconsin trolls would benefit from calling "UW" in the event that UW-Seattle makes the top-25.
Never know...
Fwiw, I think UW-Seattle's law school is overrated and over-ranked. The overall atmosphere within that law school sucks, despite the fact that it is a killer university.

Our new ranking entry system (courtesy of my man Robb) will prevent any such abuses. Good catch though, that didn't occur to me/Lavitz last year.PDaddy wrote:I see some small cheating going on. Do you think Northwestern's people troll this board? Might they wonder why they seem to be #11 or #12 every year? Is get tired of it if I was NU's administration.MikeSpivey wrote:Does anyone want to venture off to rescue North from Smaug/Bob Morse/whatever and bring him back to this board? We are on the clock.

But we're getting bigger and more preftigious, so I'll try to come up with other stuff. Open to suggestions. I like for it to be from the heart stuff doe, not "pick something for less than $20 on Amazon." Though I liked Nova's Tie Bar tie prize for his guess the medians thread.lhanvt13 wrote:cusenation wrote:Can't wait to win this year again. North, what's the prize gonna be this year?
It's also looking like well have a generous sponsor offering solid discounts to his Admissions Consulting for our 0L winners, TBA. Working out the details now.
ETA: There's also the scallion plant that I left in my car and forgot to give Jaquen at UVA ASW.
