doesn't mean much when u have 156/3.2s who are seeing the drop in applications and start thinking they have a shot at harvard.

increase in applicant pool =/= increase in quality of applicant pool.

In other words, move along, nothing to see here.

Not for nothing but Montana is one of the four schools that increased. Read it yesterday or the day before in comments to Campos blog.

So we have Duke, Harvard and Montana increasing apps.

People are flocking to Montana in droves. I wouldn't be surprised to see it break T30 next year.

I know this is all in jest, but Montana is actually a good guy law school. Sixty-five percent employment score, less than $100,000 total COA for instate students and the only school in the state. I wish all regionals would control costs like that.

$11K a year tuition for residents, and they only graduate 85 JDs a year. Not sure why the school is in Missoula instead of Billings, but Montana is a great place if you're into that sort of region.

I attribute Duke to the Priority Track idea.

Clever.

Billings is a shithole. Missoula is a nice town.

Missoula is a lot smaller, though. And Billings seems like it would be a much better legal market.

Nowhere in the article does it say applications are up.

it's really not that much smaller. missoula is the second biggest city in mt. billings does have a better legal market esp. w/ the bakken oil boom, though. believe me tho, you would much rather live in missoula. billings sucks and you can always just live there during the summer if u got a internship or w/e at a billings firm.

need to work on those critical reading skills. The ONLY thing the article says is that H did not experience the same dramatic drop as others. So H could have declined 10-15%, while others dropped 20%. Or H could be flat year-over-year. Or increased. Or something in between. But I'd bet a year of tuition if apps had increased, the Dean would have mentioned it.

The key fact is that the Dean has not yet released the numbers.

Soban said she could not release the number of applicants for this cycle until the fall.
