Re: serious character & fitness questions
it includes high school - seems to be covered by "have you ever" and "as an adult or juvenile"

List it. It's better to disclose more rather than less. When you apply for the bar, they'll compare your answers. You don't want to leave things out. Just explain it. No big deal.

Disclose disclose disclose. Explain the situation to them. They will not give a fuck.

I would list traffic tickets in response to that question btw.
A lot of schools exclude minor traffic violations, but that prompt does not, and specifically asks even for expunged and dismissed.
I would just disclose all of it and write explanations.

wtf. bro. check no on both questions, move on with life.lampshade0520 wrote:5. Have you ever been subject to academic or any other disciplinary sanctions, or are charges pending at any academic institution? This should include matters that have been expunged or dismissed.

for questions like the above, does this include high school? usually questions will specify college, graduate, professional schools but i just wanted to make sure. i think i might have been suspended and asked to move schools within district when i was 15 or something but i can't remember.
also, is 'progress probation' at a community college for withdrawing from too many classes (i was 15 and in high school trying out different art classes) considered "academic probation"? some schools ask you to list.
and we all agree that speeding tickets that you've gone to traffic school for and taken off your record don't need to be listed?
please help i swear i'm not a troll lol i know people think you should err on the side of caution and list but i really don't know about high school since almost everyone was suspended from high school

Holy shit, do they really expect me to remember every detention, every tardy from 2000-2004? I didn't even think of this crap from h.s. would come up when I applied to law school.
Do I really need to submit an addendum that I received an in-school suspension in 2003 for getting caught by the janitor while sneaking out the side door during a pep assembly and that I was suspended for 2 days in 2000 for smoking a cigarette across the street from the high school?
