Legal employers will favor the WH internship more so than law school admissions, though they still will care more about your grades while in law school. Is this something you can afford to do? Do you like your current job? Your LSAT score and GPA will determine where you will get into law school, most likely. Your law school GPA combined with your law school rank will determine your first legal job.

If you get into the White House Internship Program, you take that opportunity. Forget admissions or anything else, it's a big deal. Do it.

Yup.

While neither will dramatically affect which law school you get into, it is something employers will care about (assuming you meet their cutoffs for an interview)
