LOR acknowledgement

Postby julius305 » Mon Dec 10, 2012 12:16 am

I emailed a LOR request to my professor and she told me she received it. Now on my LSAC notifications/announcements page it says LOR acknowledgment has not been received. Does this just mean she hasn't sent in the LOR yet (which I'm aware of) or is there something she has to acknowledge or accept that she received that request email?

An electronic LOR Request is 'acknowledged' when the recommender clicks the link contained in the e-mail LSAC sent to her. The alert you see comes up if she hasn't acknowledged the request about a week after you sent it. That said, if she said she has it, she has it. In my experience, recommenders are hesitant to click the link until the LOR is finished and ready to upload.
