I will post later with the school that accepted me so future applicants can compare.

Your GPA is not horrible... don't get me wrong it's not amazing and it is lacking for t20. However, you HAVE to retake that LSAT. If you don't you won't be able to get into a T2 school (at least with money).

This is TLS and there is only ONE answer 95% of the time:

RETAKE THE LSAT.

First let me say that what I will say is not an attack against you. With your GPA and a good LSAT score you have the potential to get into a decent school with favorable outcomes. Now, law school is not a decision to be taken lightly.

Please do yourself a favor and check out the job outcomes for any school you are considering. Did you know that some lower ranked schools, the kind of schools that might accept you, place less than half their graduates in full time legal positions? Your current GPA/LSAT does not yield positive outcomes if you choose to attend the schools that would accept you.

Utilize the resources offered on this site. You can significantly improve your score. Take 3 months to dedicate yourself to study so you can drastically increase the probability of finding a paid full time legal position in the future. Join us in the June retake thread and make sure to check out pithypikes study guide.

Summary: research, retake, reapply.

Slim shot at Southwestern and Cal Western. Will probably get 2-3 of Western State, Thomas Jefferson, Whittier, GGU, and La Verne. Hail mary reaches might be SCU, USF, and UofP.

Please don't ever go to any of those schools. You should take the $150,000 you would have spent on those schools and go buy some hookers instead. You will have just as much a chance of passing the bar, and you will have had a whole lot more fun.

Thank you for the responses! I retook and scored 162 in February. (Don't tell me to retake again). I got rejected by UC Irvine but the letter was postmarked the day before my released LSAT score. They didn't even want to wait for my new one. Kind of crappy but not worried. Thanks again.

no way should anyone be EDing to UVa anymore imo. It doesn't really outplace anyone in the T14 except maybe Georgetown, and with a 3.4 17x you have a realistic shot at $ somewhere in the T14. You'd be crazy to commit to sticker at a school with a 40% placement rate when you can probably get $ elsewhere with better placement, like NU for example.

909? Nice. Where did you do your UG? I still have 5 apps out but if the money doesn't come in bundles, I'm going to start looking for a job. Hopefully, if that happens, a few years from now the law school apps will become so bleak that schools will have to adjust.
