Submitting Apps/LOR Question HELP

I'm STILL ( ) waiting on a LOR to come in, and all my apps are complete otherwise. I have 1 LOR on file and have noticed on the LOR page on LSAC that some of the schools have a red circle with a line through it, indicating I can't submit their apps, but others (like UCLA, for instance) have a requirement of 2 LORs but no red circle with a line through it. Can I go ahead and submit those apps and just wait for the last LOR to come in, or should I keep waiting? Not sure which is best to do in this case.

I'm getting anxious about submitting apps so late and have nicely, politely reminded my LOR writers that it is suuuuper important I get everything in early so I can have the best shot. Still nada, and at this point I'm getting panicky and while I'll still apply this cycle, might wait til next cycle too, particularly for S/H. I've already been out of UG for 1.5 years and don't want to wait again due to something like this. It's been like 3 weeks and I told them my goal was Thanksgiving...and they're still not done. Praying they submit them this weekend or by Monday. I'm freaking out.

If you haven't heard from them or been in touch for a week or so, I would go ahead and send another email. I was in a similar spot with one recommender and sent him an email almost every week once my soft deadline had passed. Just be friendly but to the point. Professors are pretty busy and can overlook these things pretty easily.

Good luck!

I emailed them again last night so hoping they will get the hint. Trying not to be neurotic but I'm starting to get worried about admissions/scholly $ and it getting down to the wire. I think my numbers put me on the fence for some places.

When did you first ask them for the LORs?

first week of november. told them before they agreed that i needed them by thanksgiving at the latest and if they couldn't do it, totally understand and that they needn't feel obligated.

I am in virtually the same situation in terms of timing, I have 1 LOR, getting very anxious, etc.

Can anyone clarify what happens once the application is sent? If I get my last 2 LORs in by the end of the week, can I still assign them to applications already submitted, and will the schools acknowledge these?

Just as an update, one LOR came in last night so I got all apps in by 12/1. Hoping no negative effect will come from applying now versus when apps first opened.
