Should I disclose?

Post by jadoo » Wed Nov 28, 2012 3:04 pm

As a juvenille, I had problems with truancy. I remember going to court and being placed on probation for a few weeks and released on good behavior. I was about 14 when this occurred. I have never disclosed it on any university application and my non-disclosure has never had an impact on acceptances. Will this cause problems for law schools and/or state bars? I have no other charges on my record, not even a single traffic violation.

Safe bet is to call the schools you're applying to and asking them what they think. The chance that this will affect your admissions decision is less than 0%.

Thanks! I'm just kind of freaking out about it. I hope it's as you say and it won't have too much bearing on admissions decisions.
