Redundant Info on Law School Apps

Post by lakers24fan » Fri Nov 23, 2012 2:27 am

On a lot of the applications that I'm seeing, they're asking for a list of honors and awards I've received, along with a list of extracurriculars, volunteer work, work experience and whatnot. But I already have all these activities and honors listed on my resume. Should I enter it on the application as well, or would this be redundant? How have some of you guys/gals handled this?

This form required for filing my complaint in federal district court asks me to check boxes indicating my basis for jurisdiction, venue, and federal question. I already included this in the complaint I am submitting. Should I fill out these sections of form too, or would that be redundant?

Always follow directions. Fill out the application as asked, stick to page/word limits for essays, follow guidelines (if any) for resumes. Give them the information where they ask for it, even if it is redundant. You don't know who will look at what pages of your application when.
