Should I include this in my addendum?

Post by CardozoLaw09 » Mon Oct 15, 2012 7:20 pm

My grades began to increase in undergrad once I decided I wanted to go to law school; will admissions view this as, "oh, sure, that's convenient that your grades began to increase after you decided you wanted to go to law school," or will they not look into it as much? It's true that my grades began a steady increase after I decided to go law school, but I'm not sure if admissions will just think I'm implicitly excusing myself from my grades early on. Thanks

I would actually give some schools a call and ask. Some admissions officers are extremely open about these sorts of things. The bottom line is the truth... don't be afraid to embrace it. Try to use the truth to your advantage in the whole process.
