wondering if someone can help me with the LOR process. One of my references has sent me the letter directly. Is it okay if I mail it to LSAC with the barcode formed, or does LSAC expect the letter to be sent directly from the writer?

I can't think of any reason why OP couldn't just mail it in. It'd just be a different hand dropping it into a mailbox. Somehow, I don't see LSAC tracing postal service routing stamps.
Just don't tamper with the letter, dude.
