Taking Language Courses During Undergrad

Post by Merloas » Thu Oct 04, 2012 8:04 pm

Hey guys,

I'm a 3rd year in UG now and I was wondering if it would look suspicious to the Adcoms of T14 schools if I took language courses when I am a native speaker of the language. I was born and raised in the States, but I hope to practice out of country (Japan) after law school so I thought these courses would be a good idea. I'm not very good at speaking or writing the language, so it's not as easy a course as one would suppose. How would something like this be viewed when I apply?

the only time it hurt me was when my exam answers were too perfect and I was accused of cheating (which was easily resolved once I pointed out I was a native speaker)
Other than that, enjoy the easy A
