Retaking in Oct: Apply Now?

Postby honeycomb » Sun Sep 02, 2012 7:11 pm

So as the title suggests I'll be retaking in October. Currently 4.0/167, hoping to bump that up a few points.

I currently have all of my LORs in except for one from the professor that I'm closest to (and thus probably the best LOR). He is somebody who I talk to very frequently so when I told him that the LSAT didn't go as planned his response was basically "sorry to hear it, but at least that gives me a bit more time to write your LOR and to include more tangible information from the two classes you're taking with me this semester"

That was fine with me when he said it in July, but now I'm wondering if I should have asked him to complete the LOR anyway so that I could apply to some schools before I get my Oct score back.

What do you all think? Should I ask him to complete the LOR now so that I can apply to some schools early, or should I just wait it out?
