WE question
Hey all. I worked full-time throughout college. Do I count these as years of work experience?

Re: WE question
What do you mean "count"? You either have work experience or you don't.

Re: WE question
Work experience is typically seen as post-undergrad/grad work, or work while you are not in school. Are you an adult student who did undergrad along side a job? That may be different. But something like working full time at Starbucks during undergrad probably doesn't count.

Re: WE question
You should still list it in your resume. B schools don't pay much attention to work experience, even full time, if it's before graduating. I'm not sure whether law schools "count" it as work experience, but they certainly take it into consideration when assessing your transcript.

Agreed. I was thinking more in terms of how Northwestern looks for applicants with "work experience". Definitely leave it on the resume, but it probably doesn't count if you're referring to schools like NU.superdingle2000 wrote:You should still list it in your resume. Re: WE question
Let me qualify this a bit more. I worked a full-time managerial job throughout UG. I am wondering if I can put those 48 months toward my total full time experience answer on LS apps.

Re: WE question
If it's full time, I don't see why not. That definately distinguishes you from candidates that work a couple of hours a week. Working full time must have been really difficult. you should ask the schools directly and explain. If the answer is "no", figure out a way to emphasize you worked FULL time on your resume.bigdogmoe wrote:Let me qualify this a bit more. I worked a full-time managerial job throughout UG.
