Looks like vandy was trying to maintain their medians rather aggresively. They were throwing around heavy scholly money, even more so than usual.

The drop in 25th percentile GPA and LSAT makes me think they had to let in a lot splitters/reverse splitters to do so. GOOD SIGN :D

Another 10%+ drop in class size.

And vandy is pretty darn close to the T14. I would be amazed if we dont see at least 5% declines within the T14 considering how much competition they are in for "status."

@Shifty: It looks as if more and more schools are using splitters to game the medians. Considering the rarity of LSATs to GPAs, I expect GPA floors to drop (even disappear) at a majority of law schools.

hey guys, I started a thread on class size (not on median). it's here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=190807&hilit=2015+class+sizes

I scrolled through and found the vanderbilt numbers and posted them. If there are other numbers that come up in this thread, and you have a minute, it would be great if you could cross post them to the above thread. The reason is that it would be useful to have all the information in one place, and i already have a list going there.

my prediction is that enrollment will be down at least 5,000 students this year as compared to last, and I think for current 1Ls this has to be at least somewhat good news.

^do u want to just convert your thread to class sizes + medians? That way we avoid fragmentation of information and we can let this thread die.

I also wouldn't mind it much if this thread stayed active... Kevin's consistent updating was pretty awesome.

I'll still be an active poster in the other thread and wake can copy the format I use if he wants. If he stops being an active poster, we can always revive this thread.

This thread is more appropriate in this forum. Also, considering how incredibly important this is for next cycle's applicants (myself included), I'd prefer that a veteran TLSer be in charge of assembling the data. No offense to WakeLaw, but I think you should and hope that you will stick with this thread.

Amirite?

I think that new students are more likely to see this thread and report stats from orientation here than in the choosing a law schools section.

Cornell is 194 this year. If ABA data is accurate, thats a decline of 8 students. This is <5% decline. No discussion of LSAT/GPA medians.

Awesome. I feel comforted by this thread. As I mentioned in the other, Alabama noted medians in a fee waiver email: 165 and 3.83. Apologies for being too lazy to note last years', but I'm on a phone.

If it was a fee waiver, probably from last cycle...

It did specifically say incoming Fall 2012 class, but I suppose it could be a quick copy-paste-replace. I had expected a lowered LSAT and GPA, especially after taking a peek at LSN.
