Exactly how much of a boost will an ED give me?

For example, EDing is like RDing with +x LSAT score or +.y GPA... that kind of thing.

I'm aware it varies by school, but a conservative, average estimate, especially for T14, would be helpful in keeping my expectations realistic.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to say but it doesn't work like that. Some schools are known to give large ED boosts, like UVA, while others are known to give barely any boost at all, like Columbia. There isn't an average LSAT/GPA boost that can be quantified, though.

Toy around with mylsn for info on people who ed'd with your numbers. This might give you a general idea, but there's finite formula out there.

So if I were considering an ED to Columbia it wouldn't really help me at all? Or is that just relative to ED at other schools?
it's not necessarily that, it's just that A. some schools care WAY more about it than others (specifically schools with lower yields), and B. your numbers are going to do different things at different schools depending on their medians and strategy regarding ED applicants.

I thought the whole point of ED is that you can't get a boost...
