Word Count, Margins, Font and Size of PS
Any thoughts? I had a 12 pt Calibri with 1.25 inch margins, but I'm thinking of switching to Times at 12 and going 1 inch on the sides.

I'd do 1 inch margins unless some school wants 1.25. I can't remember if mine was 11 or 12 font, but 12 is certainly fine and either font is conservative enough to not cause any controversy.

Don't use Calibri. It's a sanserif font. Serifs fonts (TNR, Garamond) are standard for large blocks of printed text like essays.
1" margins are also standard. 1.25" looks like you couldn't think of enough to write.
11 or 12 point, double-spaced.

sans serif or serif, they're all fine, yes one might be more formal than the other but lets be honest here, they arent even gonna notice and theyre def not gonna ding you because of the font unless you do something really stupid and use wingdings or something

No love for Helvetica?
Edit: Please don't listen to the guy who says that you have to use a serif font. Please, we're not living in the 19th century.

Don't be disingenuous. Serif fonts are still the standard, conservative choice for printed material. This is a profession where women are still expected to interview in black skirt suits and pantyhose, and men are usually clean-shaven. Conservative is TCR, even just for fonts.analytic_philosopher wrote:No love for Helvetica?
