Dates attended vs. degree date

Post by cneu333 » Mon Jul 16, 2012 12:20 pm

These are probably going to be stupid questions, but I wasn't sure where else to ask..

I graduated early in 2011, but I had to wait for my college to issue my diploma until 2012 because they give out diplomas only in May every year. So I put 2008-2011 as my dates attended and 2012 as my degree date for the CAS report.. I just hope to check if I'm doing this right.

Also for my law school resume, should I specify that 2008-2011 are the dates attended and 2012 is my degree date, or do I just put 2008-2011 and that's it?

I don't remember but I think I just put my degree date. If your transcripts have a degree completion date on it then I think that is what you should put. IMO

I had a similar issue. I attended from September 2008 until December 2011, so my dates attended were from 2008-2011. My degree, however, was granted in February 2012, so I gave that as my degree date. Hope this helps.
