Sorry to alt- I'm on a self imposed ban- but just wanted to check in and say I got an NYU fee waiver. As Lebron would say, about damn time. Mods- will never use this account again, sorry.

For what it's worth, I solicited a fee waiver from Berkeley based on military service. Just thought that could be added to the spreadsheet.

NYU was an email.

"Given your impressive achievements, we invite you to apply online at http://www.lsac.org; the system will recognize you as a CRS-selected candidate and automatically waive the $75 NYU application fee upon electronic submission."

Numbers are in profile.

Interesting that the Catholic University of America locked down the law.edu domain, though.

I just tried to solicit a waiver from the only public LS in my state. I am well over both 75% marks. They emailed me back asking for all sorts of extra info. I'm not sure if I want to respond back, seeing as I will never attend.

Meh, don't bother. Save your $21 for the CAS report and invest in booze.

This is some of the best advice I've received on TLS. Thanks shinny.

Almost the same, slightly higher LSAT. Maybe they're doing it in waves. Can more people report on numbers / NYU fee waiver status? especially those that haven't gotten it but have gotten everything else from t 14

Got NYU with 170/3.9, first contact from or to them. Not on my LSAC school list. I would guess they're coming in waves.

U of Maine unsolicited. It really pisses me off that these small state schools try to lure in out of staters. Going to Maine would be a disastrous decision for me financially.

Your anger is misplaced... hate the schools like Seton Hall that will cost $280k+, not schools like Maine that give out IS waivers and have somewhere closer to $80k COA.

OP, not sure if this was ever mentioned, but HYS don't do fee waivers.
Also, UVA is cool with multiple EDs

In my ideal system, there'd certainly be a place for cheap public local schools like U Maine. But they shouldn't be recruiting out of staters, who have to pay $13k more a year in tuition for a much smaller chance at getting a job (Maine doesn't have a big legal market, and I assume firms are going to preference locals to carpetbagging Cali kids who didn't get into UCLA). If I really had my heart set on living in Maine, then I'd solicit a fee waiver from them, but anyone who reads that email and thinks "I can imagine living in Maine. I'm going to apply!" is making a mistake, and attending would probably be a disaster. U Maine bears some responsibility for that. FTR Maine Law has a 41% employment score, which is scary even for in-staters ($134k COA).

That being said, they're still much "better" than scam schools like Touro (and to a lesser extent SHU) that charge $200k for 10% employment.
