I have a 178 and 3.95, and was really banking on a fee waiver to Columbia. My application is ready to go, and I'd like to get it out ASAP. Do you think it makes sense to wait a few days to see if I get a hidden waiver? Should I write to ask for one? Should I just apply and say screw the $85?

I am pretty sure the last twenty times I've seen your posts they begin with "I have a 178 and 3.95"

I don't have one either (although my numbers are admittedly lower than yours) but I'm going to give it a few days...
172/4.0 - no hidden waiver from Columbia. No waiver from Chicago. Seems weird to me. $85 is significant; grateful I've received waivers from elsewhere though!

I'm tempted to look up one of those "UMAD" meme whatevers, but that's just not me :D I think you're exaggerating a bit, but I think the information is kind of relevant here, no?

In other words, if I just say "What's with the no fee waiver from Columbia, what should I do, A, B, or C?", a likely response is going to be "Numbers?"

Goddamn it, now you're giving me a complex!

I know you're not ;-) I just can't stand those people who just...brag, I guess, so I don't want to come off as one of them. Most of my posting lately has dealt with fee waivers, though, and I guess I just think the numbers are pertinent. And yeah...I think with your numbers, you're pretty good just about anywhere.

So to actually answer your question, the Chicago waivers seemed to take about 2 days to go out in waves, so I would definitely wait until tomorrow night, won't make any difference on your chances (esp. with your numbers- what were they again? ;))

No reason really not to wait a couple more weeks. We're not even close to applications being reviewed...as long as you apply before Oct LSAT people get their scores back.

Anyone know if fee waivers granted last cycle would remain valid for this cycle?
I received all the fee waivers I wanted last cycle, but held off applying until this cycle.
I haven't seen a single drop of correspondence from a single law school yet this cycle...

Aside from the obvious (NYU), I'm still waiting for UT and BU... I wonder why these schools wait so long.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
