18 months later...new LORs?

It's been about a year and a half since I first went through this whole process (turned in apps late in 2010-11 cycle). Do I need to get completely different LORs or can I use 1-2 from before? Particularly my academic LORs. Obviously I have one lined up thats current to cover post-UG WE. Should I a) get updated LORs/evaluations from same people, b) use completely new LORs or c) use one of my old ones? I am going to reapply to some of the same schools.

Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure you can use the same LORs for 5 years (or something like that)

a. I wouldn't
b. I would get at least 1 recent one from a recent employer
c. Yes

You need to check what the reapplication policy is re LORs at the schools you're reapplying to. Off the top of my head, I know that Penn requires two brand new LORs and I'm pretty sure Columbia requires one new LOR if you've previously submitted an application. It would be surprising if these were the only two law school with this type of policy.

I called a couple schools b/c I'm going through a similar situation and they said the general rule is 2+ years, then get new letters. 1.5year should be fine, but I would get them updated to be on the safe side.

I called DePaul and Cornell law school this week btw.
