Does anyone just get tired of people telling them about this?

A lot of this talk usually comes from people who have considered going to law school, but have decided to either work or go for a PhD. I just think that with ANY career path, you risk not being able to get a job (right away)...

Nice, new job at the admissions office?

Repeated activity would be evidence enough. Assumption denied and issuance of evidence claim here.

Plus, opinion is never an assumption. Boom.

Thank you for enlightening me on something I had no idea about! It's all brand new information to me.

how responsive. anything else to add other than sarcasm? the point still stands that the main reason why people get worked up about low JD job prospects is the debt that students take to get there. So, like I said, it really makes no sense to compare their situation to PhD students, who take on little to no debt.

Dude it depends highly on who specifically the fuck we are talking about. I was mainly only responding to PhD job prospects, which by the way, are so bad they make the legal market look AWESOME!

These overall debt issues are not new information to me and arent my problem specifically really so why are we even discussing this?

Perhaps I misconstrued what you wrote, but the quote-function copied it verbatim. Regardless, it was a vain attempt to make a joke using pretzel bites as a punchline.

+1 for pretzel bites.

Oh, I've seen her. Back when I mainly lurked (i.e. less than a month ago) she kept me in the lulz during my week stranded in Frankfurt. Where did she go?

Here's the problem. If your goal is to become a real estate agent, you can keep trying until you get in. With law, if you don't get a job in the first couple of years out of school, you'll likely never be a lawyer. And unless you're a lawyer, a JD is useless.

Yeah it was this person:

Sorry that I missed the pretzel bites joke. But at least we have bearsgrl for entertainment. :)

Who the heck decides to get stranded in Frankfurt? You fly into Frankfurt and then go elsewhere. Frankfurt is an hour to an hour and a half away from stuff. No need to be stranded.

Also, Florida isn't always sunny. See: Last weekend and the upcoming week.

Went to visit a family member in the military, and of course the Army mucked up the timing at the last minute and kept him in Iraq an extra week. Had to play it day by day.

But why not go to Cologne and such? That's like two hours away or so.
