listen, chappie-first of all sorry about your brother. how's he doing? secondly, go to http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com to see graphs and charts and lists of accepted people this cycle. I think you could score a T14 or two with a 173+ LSAT. go there and check your numbers against theirs.

Is the "W" actually treated as a negative for the GPA?

Just apply... If you dont like how your cycle goes (acceptances/scholarships), sit out a year.

Honestly, it sounds like you are just full of excuses. Addendums are not the blame game.

I'm retaking the LSAT in a few weeks because my average during my prep period was a 175 and all sorts of shenanigans happened at my testing location, with my RC section taking the biggest hit because of a distracting large amount of noise that lasted for about 7 minutes during the test.
You're blaming someone else. Scoring 7 points below your PT average is on you.
pushed into doing so by my parents
You're blaming someone else...
(Note: my undergrad is known for deflating grades):
First, no one cares. Also, you're subtly blaming your UG for your low GPA
The F in the 1 credit sightsinging class was due to an incompetent teacher
Blaming someone else again..
The W in the gender/sex class was because halfway through the class the professor decided to convert the entire class into a phil of sexuality seminar.
Blaming someone else again..
The professor didn't let me retake the midterm since I didn't give "advance warning" about my circumstances.
You took the midterm and failed. There are no redos. Not the profs problem. Once again, you are blaming someone else.
