JR is Josh Rubenstein, Harvard's admissions dean. JR1 is the first call he might make to an applicant—the interview call—and the JR2 is an acceptance call. Not all applicants get the JR1, but it is required in order to get the JR2.

What does "bump" mean? Can I do it to my own post so that it appears on the main page and has a higher chance of being responded too?

Is there any line between in with $, in with $$ and in with $$$? I assume more $ = more $$ but wondering if $$$ means full, $$ half, or anything formal like that.

I think $$$ = full ride, so let's say $$ = 20k/year and $ = 10k/year. Everyone uses it a bit differently.
